Creating pearls from the grit of life

Writer: ANNI POOLEANNI POOLE

How do you show up in your life?

Are you abundant in your laughter and joys, like an abundant tree with its crown of leaves? Do you seek out the lightness in a situation? Or . . . do you hold back, just in case, sensing a fear of lack? Well guess what, energy is abundant and we are created entirely of universal energy. Before we became such a consumer oriented society, we valued life in terms other than possessions and money. Times do change and they most certainly have since 2020 began. The sudden end to normal daily life brought back an abundance of time in every household. Time that everyone of us wished we had more of - though not at the expense of our health life. Any form of restrictions or limits on our lives, self imposed or not, serve as an irritant.

Let's consider the creation of a pearl

Fact

Pearls are formed inside the shell of certain molluscs as a defence mechanism against a potentially threatening irritant such as a parasite inside the shell, or an attack from outside that injures the mantle tissue. The mollusk creates a pearl sac to seal off the irritation.

When we humans react in defence, we don't usually create pearls or even try to 'seal off' our irritation. However, we do create grit! Then we shape that grit into judgement, of ourselves and of others , forcing our life to shape into something we think we believe in often with some unecessary consequences.

I wonder what it would take for the pearls to show up in our lives?

Perhaps it has something to do with noticing WHO (not what) is the cause of our emotions? As far as I know, and I have been studying this a while, we create our own grit, and then we respond to it.

When we feel someone or something else is to blame, an alien body, we feel hopeless, stuck, perhaps angry. If we can know or see how we are the one experiencing, then the reality is so much simpler.
